PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 1,210 Covid-19 cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours.
The number of new infections in Malaysia have exceeded 1,000 for the fifth day in a row.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,018 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 36,624.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the 1,210 cases bring the total number of infections in the country to 49,730.
Meanwhile, the five deaths bring the toll to 318.
