Introduction:

Wirelube HD has been specifically formulated to provide for easy penetration of the inner – most wire
rope strands, chains and machinery; drying to a firm chemical and abrasive resistant film.
The compound is particularly useful for a wide variety of application within a marine environment where
resistance to salt spray and sea water immersion is important
Wirelube HD is strongly adherent and will resist throw-off, providing lubrication of slow moving gears,
rotor, pinions, inner wire strands, etc., in corrosive atmosphere. The addition of metallic boundary
lubricants, molybdenum disulphide and graphite ensures that ropes and machinery life is considerably
extended.


Approvals
Wirelube HD has been tested by Bristish Ropes Doncaster and is classified under section 3.4 of their
manual, Rope Lubrication and Preservation in Service. Technical Information No. TS01/10/85 refers.
Wirelube HD is compatible with currently used manufacturing lubricants and is approved for use on
ropes manufactured by British Ropes where heavy wear conditions and abrasion predominantly cause
deterioration.

Where to use:

Wirelube HD has been developed to lubricate and protect wire ropes on cranes, draglines, excavators,
offshore drilling rings and any heavy duty lifting and haulage gear. Particularly useful for equipment
exposed to weather, chemical or salty atmosphere.

How to use:

Apply direct to rope.
For the best results the rope should be wiped clean with a suitable solvent to remove any surface dirt and
grease prior to the application of Wirelube HD. Re-apply regularly.
